Who I am
I'm Alexandra Ciobanu. I run the studio Alexa C. as a sole trader. I decide what happens to personal data collected through this site. In law, that makes me the controller.
- Email: hello@alexandra-ciobanu.co.uk
- Postal address: [GEOGRAPHIC ADDRESS]
Use the email address for any question about this notice or your data.
If you email me
You don't have to email me. If you do, I receive your email address, your name if you include it, and whatever you write. I use it to reply to you.
[NEEDS CONFIRMING: lawful basis. Suggested: legitimate interests, because a reply is what you expect when you write to me.]
Email sent to this address is received by IONOS, my domain and email provider, which forwards it to a Gmail account I use. It is then stored there.
I keep emails for two years after the last message. If we work together, I keep them for six years after the work ends, as a business record.
Hosting and cookies
This site is hosted on Cloudflare as static files. To deliver each page, Cloudflare may process your IP address.
The site sets no cookies. When a page loads, it makes no requests to any other company's servers. Everything it needs comes from this site.
Settings saved on your device
The accessibility panel and the light and dark switch remember your choices in your browser's local storage:
- alexac-a11y-v1 holds your accessibility panel settings
- aurora-theme holds light or dark, if you picked one
They are saved only when you change a setting. They stay on your device and are never sent anywhere. To remove both, open the accessibility panel and choose Reset all settings, or clear this site's data in your browser.
While you read, the site also remembers your scroll position for the current tab. It is cleared when you close the tab.
- tsr-scroll-restoration-v1_3 holds your scroll position on each page in this tab
The old newsletter sign-up form
From July to September 2026, this site had a newsletter sign-up form. The only addresses it ever stored were my own test entries. The table holding them was deleted on 29 September 2026.
[BACKUP RETENTION, CONFIRMING WITH LOVABLE]
Links to other sites
This site links to Calendly, Substack, Fiverr, LinkedIn and examples of my work hosted elsewhere. Nothing is shared with them until you click a link. The link does not tell them which page you came from. Once you are on their site, their own privacy policy applies.
Where your data is stored
This site is hosted by Cloudflare. Email sent to hello@alexandra-ciobanu.co.uk is received by IONOS, my domain and email provider, and forwarded to a Gmail account, a service run by Google. Google, Cloudflare and IONOS may process this data outside the UK. [NEEDS CONFIRMING: the safeguard each of them relies on for transfers outside the UK.]
[NEEDS CONFIRMING: whether Cloudflare keeps server logs for this site, what they contain, and for how long.]
Your rights
Under UK data protection law, the UK GDPR, you can ask me to:
- give you a copy of the personal data I hold about you
- correct it if it is wrong
- delete it
- limit how I use it
- object to how I use it
- send it to you or another organisation in a format a computer can read
Where I rely on legitimate interests, you can object, and I will stop unless I have a strong reason to continue.
Some of these rights apply only in certain situations. If I ever rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time.
To ask, email hello@alexandra-ciobanu.co.uk. The law gives me one month to reply.
I don't use your data to make automated decisions about you.
How to complain
If you are unhappy with how I handle your data, tell me first, so I can try to put it right.
You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK regulator. Make a complaint on the ICO website, or call the ICO on 0303 123 1113.
